Get up and dance, it’s Costa de Musicas 2009
September 18, 2009

All eyes were on Sands Beach Resort Hotel for the official press launch of Costa de Musicas 2009, the big Lanzarote musical event held each year in Costa Teguise. The beachfront family hotel was the setting for the formal announcements, over the course of Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September the music will take centre stage on and around Playa Bastian.
There will be plenty of fun for families and people of all ages as the beat takes over, and dancing on the sand becomes the thing to do. In the daytime the action centres around Pueblo Marinero where DJ’s and live radio broadcasts will get everyone into the party mood from 3pm to 8pm. Then as the night takes over, it’s down to the beach for the live bands.
On Friday the line up includes, Mamba Beat and Zurych, Saturday is led by Mo Horizons and La Selva Sur. Dancing late into the night is infectious and will have Costa Teguise letting its hair down and showing visitors one of the things the island of Lanzarote is famous for.
A variety of entertainment for all the family
August 2, 2008
It’s been another great day of sun and fun at Sands Beach Resort. All the family have splashed in the pools, walked along the beachfront and lapped up the food and drink at the Mai Tai pool bar and La Hacienda restaurant. So it’s back to the villas to shower and cool down on the terrace, and anticipate the night ahead at the Soleil Bar.
Happy hour is 7pm until 8pm and you will find something to get you into the mood for the entertainment ahead, sometimes a quiz, sometimes karaoke or maybe some top sporting action on the big screen. Show time starts at 9.30pm, The animation team, led by Dimitri (pic) will be known to you from their daytime activities around the resort, but at night they pull out all the stops to entertain you with song and dance. This is boosted twice a week with professional shows from a Robbie Williams tribute, comedy magic, a drag act and much more.
The Soleil bar is the place to be, and with the open terrace, it’s a cool relaxing setting to end your day on a high note.
