Windsurfing? - it’s a breeze at Sands Beach Resort
February 22, 2008

As the youngsters grow up, they crave excitement and Lanzarote is the perfect holiday setting to learn to windsurf. Sands Beach Resort hotel can offer a unique training ground in the large sea water lagoon just by the beachfront. It’s a safe and supervised area so they can gain the confidence that will stand them in good stead for tackling the livelier waters when they get a bit bigger.
The only limits are to be over 6 years old and have a sense of fun. With experienced instructors, fluent in several languages, you can relax on the beach surrounding the lagoon and watch your youngsters learn and enjoy at the same time. Sands Beach Resort works closely with one of the most respected windsurfing schools in Lanzarote, so you know they are in good hands.
Lessons take place in the lagoon on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11am to 12.30 and cost just 25 euros for the first lesson and 20 euros for further lessons. The fees include the expert tuition and hire of all the equipment they need to keep them safe and happy.

I always wanted to try windsurfing but never had the time or the courage but plucked up courage from somewhere and have never enjoyed myself so much. The conditions are just right and learning in the lagoon made it seem so muchy easier. Thanks for a great time!
The lagoon is really good for starting a windsurfing sport. So pleased you had a good time. Keep it up!
I thought I was too old to learn to windsurf but the instructors were very patient and understanding. The lessons are inexpensive too considering the enjoyment factor.
