Barcelona coach heads to Lanzarote

Lanzarote always attracts the best in all walks of life, so it’s no surprise that Pep Gardiola, coach of newly crowned La Liga champions Barcelona, is among a group of top European football coaches at the 4th annual Football Training Clinic in June.

Gardiola was a surprise choice to take over the Barcelona hot seat at the start of the season, just 38 and a product of the clubs youth system, he was widely respected for his coaching at lower levels of the club, but could he cope at the highest level? Guardiola has impressed even his sternest doubters by leading Barcelona to the Spanish League title and now faces manchester United in the Champions league final.

The Lanzarote football clinic runs from June 5 to 7 in Yaiza and also features Unai Emery, Jose Luis Mendilibar, and Francisco Seirullo. Cutting edge tactics will be discussed and kicked around but the top coaches will no doubt take some time out to enjoy the wonderful scenery and climate of Lanzarote.
