Lanzarote band to take a bite of the Big Apple

March 22, 2009

OscartienealasOscartienealas are a Lanzarote musical success story, the local band have built a strong fan base on the island and are now off to America and Mexico to teach them how to rock. The boys fly to New York on March 28, and then on to Los Angeles and finally, Tijuana in Mexico.

The New York concert is part of a hispanic music season in Manhattan, and it’s a similar event in Los Angeles a few days later. Tijuana is a bigger leap musically and geographically and rounds off the short tour before they fly back to their beloved home island of Lanzarote. All this is on top of a recent performance at the annual Barcelona music festival that features 25 bands.

Lanzarote has a thriving music scene, from fiestas to open air concerts and live music in bars. Sands Beach Resort Hotel in Costa Teguise loves to offer a full range of music to its guests, and the Soleil Bar is the place to go for good family pleasing musical treats each night.
