Luxury fans head to Lanzarote
Even if you are on one of the most modern and luxurious cruise liners in the world, it would be a crime to miss the chance to see the wonders of Lanzarote. The new MSC Fantasia popped into Arrecife, the capital city and main port last week to give its 4,000 passengers the chance to enjoy this family holiday island.
Arrecife is barely 20 minutes from Costa Teguise, home to Sands Beach Resort Hotel, and always worth a visit for its vibrant atmosphere and mix of traditional battlements and and a modern marina. Fantasia is a floating city at 333 metres long, 67 metres high and 38 metres wide. As well as being packed with passengers, it is home to 1,325 crew, and the pampering goes on 24 hours a day. The liner has tennis courts, cinemas, pools and even a grand prix simulator.
However even all these mod cons struggle to compete with the natural beauty of Lanzarote and its volcanic landscape, no doubt many of the passengers will be back for a longer look.
