The art of relaxing at Sands Beach Resort
Exploring was one of the first things I did after arriving at Sands Beach Resort, Lanzarote, and there’s a lot to see. Lured down to the lagoon and it’s sandy beach by the sight of the ocean beyond, I took the bridge over to Mai Tai pool bar and restaurant.

What a great fun place, the pool was refreshing and the waterfall gave it that perfect finishing touch. The sun was treating the families gathered around the pool areas and as for the children, they seemed delighted with the results of their mornings face painting.
A short hop to the beachfront
Being nosey, I couldn’t resist taking the back bridge out to the seafront walkway for a quick scout around. A quick glance down at the lagoon and I could see why the teenagers fishing off the bridge were so engrossed, fish moved and swarmed just below the surface catching the sunlight.
Back in the pool bar, I had to try the menu, good for the appetite all this exploring. A long cold drink was an easty choice but the food gave me a bit of a dilema, but bearing in mind my location, a Lanzarote sandwich seemed appropriate. Mmmm a triple decker with chicken and all the trimmings, I sensed this could become a personal favourite.
It would be easy to just kick back and sit there all afternoon, but with lots more to see, I decided to go and see what other delights I could discover at Sands Beach Resort.
